About

Fynn was inspired by a certain board game that will be unmentioned, as well as a love for true crime. Coming off of making murder mystery parties for his friends. He wanted something nostalgic, he wanted it to be easy to pick up and go so it had to be a card game.

And for a while that idea was just sitting there… what to do, what to make…. The unmentionable board game… something his friends would want to play, and replay… and then he thought about it.

First print out

This was the first game printed on regular white and colored copy paper.

Crime is big right now.

And the world is thinking about perspective of crimes committed who, what, when, why… how now sometimes being the “bad guy” is not what it was….. this whole group of queer people that were pigeonholed as the “bad people” that were just doing what they had to in order to survive and so… under 24 hours he slammed out these 6 candy-based characters, each with a crime they were good at and a place they were from in Candyland.

2nd Iteration

Decided to add character images and graphics to make the card game more pleasing and printed on a card stock using an ink jet printer.

The game was first played the next day and has been a hit ever since.

3rd: Commercially Printed Prototype

After many hours of playing this Criminals of Candyland with friends and family, he decided to make a commercially printed prototype.
